DPIPs
Doge Protocol Improvement Proposals (DPIPs) describe standards for the Doge Protocol Platform, including core protocol specifications, quantum resistance, consensus and transport.
Submit your proposals in any of the community social media channels including Telegram, Discord, Reddit, Twitter etc. You can also submit a Pull Request directly to Doge Protocol's DPIPs Github repository.
Stages of a DPIP
- Idea - An idea that is pre-draft. This is not tracked within the DPIP Repository.
- Draft - The first tracked stage of a DPIP in development.
- Development - This DPIP represents a proposal that is being actively developed by the community.
- Completed - A proposal that has been developed or implemented and is live.
- Withdrawn - The Community-Proposer(s) have withdrawn the proposed DPIP.

DPIP Types
DPIPs are separated into a number of types, and each has its own list of DPIPs.
Describes any change that affects most or all Doge Protocol implementations, such as a change to the network protocol, quantum resistance, cryptography, consensus, a change in block or transaction validity rules, proposed application standards/conventions, or any change or addition that affects the interoperability of applications using Doge Protocol. Furthermore Standard DPIPs can be broken down into the following categories.
Consensus
Proposals to the consensus model of Doge Protocol, including proof-of-stake, validation, slashing, attestations and so on.
Transactions
Transaction improvements to the Doge Protocol blockchain including gas price, gas per block changes, TPS and so on.
Payments
Payments using the Doge Protocol Platform, processors, PoS, ATM and so on.
Platform
Platform level improvements such as new functionality, solving real world problems and so on.
Cryptography
Improvements to the post-quantum cryptography scheme using in the Doge Protocol blockchain.
